A Clearer View of Your Patients—Before They Arrive.
Standardized OSDI-6 scores and blink metrics delivered pre-visit to streamline triage and focus your chair time.
Key benefits for your clinic
Save time & streamline triage
Reduce intake time by collecting dry eye symptom scores and blink metrics before the visit. Less chair-time for history taking, more time for examination and counselling.
Standardized, evidence-based inputs
Aqueo uses the OSDI-6 questionnaire and blink metrics to provide consistent, comparable data across visits and providers, helping clinicians quickly understand symptom burden.
Built for Canadian compliance
Designed for PHIPA/PIPEDA alignment, with data stored exclusively in AWS ca-central-1. Clinics remain the Health Information Custodian; Aqueo operates as your authorized agent.
Simple to deploy
Patients access Aqueo through their browser—no app downloads, no integration work, and no change to your EMR. You can start with a single provider or a pilot group.
How Aqueo fits into your workflow
Before the visit
Your patient receives a secure link to complete a short OSDI-6 questionnaire and a guided blink test on their own device.
Automated scoring
Aqueo processes responses and blink video to generate standardized OSDI-6 scores and blink metrics (e.g., blink interval, incomplete blink rate).
Clinic review
Results are delivered to your secure clinic portal, ready for review, triage, and annotation before the patient arrives.
Informed visit
With pre-visit data in hand, you can prioritize appointments, focus the examination, and spend more of the visit on interpretation and treatment planning instead of intake.
Clinical methodology & data security
Clinical Methodology
Aqueo's pre-screening is built on validated methods: the OSDI-6 questionnaire and blink pattern analysis. These tools provide standardized symptom scores and objective blink metrics to support triage and clinical conversations.
Data & Security
Aqueo is built with privacy and security by design for Canadian eye care. We minimize identifiers, encrypt data, and host exclusively in Canada.
- Canadian data residency – All clinical data is stored in AWS ca-central-1 (Canada Central).
- Clinic as HIC – Your clinic remains the Health Information Custodian. Aqueo operates as your authorized agent/service provider.
- Pseudonymous processing – Aqueo processes triage data without direct patient identifiers; clinics control linkage between test IDs and identities.
- Encryption – All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (SSE-KMS). Blink videos are stored in secured, access-controlled buckets with presigned URLs.
- Retention – Clinical data is automatically moved to long-term encrypted storage and deleted after approximately 3 years via S3 lifecycle policies, unless your clinic requests earlier deletion where appropriate.
- Contracts – Each clinic signs an Agent Agreement defining roles, responsibilities, retention, and breach notification procedures.
